MEET THE COACH
My Qualifications
Ashanti Gomez is a Certified Life (CLC) and Spiritual Coach (CSC) who strives to bring a holistic lens to life coaching. She received her credentials through the Life Purpose Institute’s program for Spiritual Coaching and UC Davis’s program for Professional and Life Coaching. Both programs are accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and aligned with their ethical coaching standards. She is currently working towards acquiring her Professional Coaching Credential (PCC) through the ICF.
Prior to coaching, she received her Bachelors Degree from UC Berkeley and proceeded to work in the technology sector, within the HR/Recruiting function, for close to a decade. Her most recent role included leading an Executive Recruiting team at a large-scale tech company. Her corporate experience provides a strong foundation for how she supports her clients in balancing their professional ambitions with their personal (and spiritual) growth.
My Journey
Similar to most people, I was living “unconsciously” for the majority of my early adulthood. I had a beautiful and dynamic life, but I was often drifting through it passively and didn’t have a sense of who I was underneath my societal conditioning. My early exposure to fear based religious teachings had also driven me far away from all spiritual concepts and beliefs. While I had a life filled with people and exterior achievements, the connection I had to myself and the world around me felt superficial.
My spiritual awakening drastically changed me when it propelled me onto a path of self discovery. Throughout my journey, I had found refuge in studying buddhist philosophy, practicing meditation/breathwork, and most importantly, through exploring the inner workings of my mind. The more I was able to understand my subconscious patterns of thought/behavior, the more I was able to take responsibility for the reality I had created for myself. It was through this awareness that I was able to consciously create the changes I desired.
I now realize that my spiritual and coaching path have always been one and the same, because at the center of both exists a journey back to self. I believe that the wisdom we seek is already within all of us, we just need to accept the invitation to go inward.
